Hand an agent session over to a teammate

- Team
What it does
You are working with an agent and have to leave, or want a second opinion: you hand the session to a colleague of the same team. They resume the conversation with its full context in a new agent on their own computer, in the same project. Your agent stays open and keeps running on your side.
Where to find it
Right-click an agent in a project > Hand over to a teammate…. Shown only when you belong to a live team.
How to use it
- Right-click the agent > Hand over to a teammate….
- Pick a colleague. Only teammates who have this project and the desktop app can receive it; the others are greyed out with the reason.
- Optionally add a message ("the tests are still left to do"), then Hand over. The conversation is encrypted and sent, and a card appears in your direct conversation with them.
- Your colleague clicks Resume the session on the card (or Ignore). A new agent opens on their side with the same role, on the same CLI when they have it installed. If they do not, they pick another CLI and the new agent starts from the conversation transcript.
- If you were on a git branch, their card offers Fetch and switch to this branch. Nothing is switched without that click.
Your agent row shows Handed to <name> once the session left.
Settings
None.
Agent tools (MCP)
None.
Providers
Claude Code and Codex resume the very same conversation (its files travel). Every other CLI (Antigravity, OpenCode, Copilot CLI...) starts a fresh session that first reads the conversation transcript, so the agent console must be open when you hand it over.
Mobile
The phone shows the sessions handed to you and answers Resume the session or Ignore: the new agent opens on your paired computer. Handing a session over is done from the desktop. The Handed to label also shows on the phone's agent rows.
Limits
- Team plan only (same live organization).
- End-to-end encrypted: only the colleague's computers can open it; the server stores ciphertext it cannot read, deleted once resumed or ignored, or after 7 days.
- Up to 128 MB compressed. Projects running on a remote SSH server are not supported.
- Only the conversation travels, not your uncommitted files: commit and push first.
Common questions
- Does my agent stop when I hand it over? No, it stays open. Your colleague gets a copy.
- Can my colleague resume it later, when I am offline? Yes, for 7 days.
- Can AgentsRoom read the conversation? No, it is encrypted on your computer for your colleague's computers only.
