Enhance (rewrite a request into a clear prompt)

What it does
Enhance rewrites a short, dictated or vague request into a clear, well-structured prompt before you send or save it: the goal, the useful context, the constraints and a definition of done (how to know the work is finished). It keeps your language, your facts and everything in backticks, and it never invents requirements. The result replaces the text in the same box, so you can read it, edit it or undo it. Nothing is ever sent automatically.
Where to find it
- Agent message box: the magic wand button of the composer toolbar, next to Prompt library.
- Backlog ticket editor: the Enhance button above the ticket's prompt, next to Translate.
- Prompt Library editor: the Enhance button in the toolbar of the prompt content.
- Keyboard:
Cmd+Shift+Eon macOS,Ctrl+Shift+Eon Windows and Linux, while the cursor is in one of these boxes. Listed in Settings > Keyboard shortcuts.
How to use it
- Type or dictate your request.
- Click Enhance (or press the shortcut). The button spins for a few seconds.
- The rewritten prompt replaces your text. Edit it freely, then send or save as usual.
- Not what you wanted? Click Undo enhance to get your original text back.
In the message box, Enhance uses the project's context: the agent's role and persona, and the project memory notes related to your request (their titles and descriptions only). In a ticket, it uses the ticket's assigned agent when there is one. In the Prompt Library it uses no project context on purpose, since a saved prompt is reused across projects.
Settings
composerHiddenActions(global, Settings > Composer > Toolbar buttons): addenhanceto hide the button from the agent message box. Shown by default.
Agent tools (MCP)
settings_setwithcomposerHiddenActions: shows or hides the composer button.
Providers
All providers, no difference: the rewrite is done by AgentsRoom, not by the agent's CLI.
Mobile
Available in the mobile app, with the same icon and words: the magic wand in the agent message box dock (agents only, not on a shell or in direct mode) and an Enhance chip next to Translate in the ticket form. The phone asks your desktop to do the rewrite, so the desktop must be running and connected; the context used is the same.
Limits
- Requires being signed in to AgentsRoom. Runs on AgentsRoom's OpenAI allowance, or on your own OpenAI key if you set one (Settings > OpenAI key).
- Up to 8,000 characters per request, and a few requests per minute.
- Your text and its context are used for that single rewrite and are not stored.
Common questions
- Does Enhance send my message? No. It only rewrites the text in the box; you still press Send.
- Can I go back to what I typed? Yes, Undo enhance restores your original text.
- I kept typing while it was working and nothing changed? On purpose: Enhance never overwrites what you typed during the rewrite. Press it again.
- Does it work from my phone? Yes, as long as your desktop app is open and connected: the phone asks it to do the rewrite.
- Is my project memory sent to an AI? Only the titles and one-line descriptions of the few notes related to your request, never their content.
