Community Rooms
- Desktop, mobile and web
- Plus, Pro
What it does
Three permanent group chats hosted by AgentsRoom, pinned at the top of the Community tab: Pro community for accounts on the Pro plan, Plus community for accounts on the Plus plan, Beta testers for members of the beta programme. They are not forum threads: nobody opened them, they have no subject and they never close. Joining is opt-in, one click, and what is said in a room stays between its members. When an account gains Pro, Plus or a beta seat, a message with an Open the room button lands in its Support thread.
Where to find it
Community in the top bar (the button was called Chat before 1.184.0), then the Community tab: the rooms your account qualifies for appear as full cards with the Official tag, above the discussions. A room you do not qualify for is not shown at all.
How to use it
- Open the Community tab and click Join on a room's card. The room opens and its messages load.
- Write as in any group chat. Members only see the name, pitch and member count until they join ("Members only: what is said in the room stays between the people in it").
- Click Leave on the card to step out. Rejoining later brings the room back as it is.
A username above a bubble is clickable: it opens a private conversation with that member when you both turned on Allow other members to contact me (Settings > Privacy & data), and otherwise explains what is missing (see Contact Between Members).
Reactions work as in every other chat: Add reaction next to a bubble opens the palette. Clicking an existing reaction chip does not react for you: it opens the list of who reacted, with "you" next to your own name and "+N" when the list is cut short, and the same list holds your own toggle (React with the emoji, or Remove my reaction).
The unread badge on the Community button only counts room messages posted after you joined (or rejoined): the history that was already there when you clicked Join is never counted as unread.

All providers, no difference.
Mobile
Present: the rooms your account qualifies for are pinned at the top of the phone's Community list (chat opened from the people button next to the AgentsRoom logo, at the top of the Projects screen (with the unread badge)), with the same cards, Official tag, member count and Join / Leave button. A room you have not joined opens on its pitch with Join; a joined room opens its conversation, where the translation strip and its Always translate switch work as in every other conversation. The Open the room button of the invitation message works on the phone too, and a push notification for a room message opens the room. Reactions: a tap on a chip lists who reacted; adding stays in the long-press picker.
Limits
- Eligibility is checked on the server on every join and every message against the plan the account holds at that moment: a lapsed subscription closes the room, reading included, until the plan is back.
- Pro and Plus are exclusive (an account holds one plan); the Beta testers room adds to either.
- No email is sent for room messages, only push notifications.
- Room messages are moderated and normalized to English like forum posts, since members read in many languages.
- Rooms cannot be deleted, and there is no per-room mute or exclusion beyond the account-level chat ban.
Common questions
- I am on Pro but I am not in the Pro room. Rooms are opt-in: open the Community tab and click Join.
- I do not see the Plus room. Only rooms your account qualifies for are listed; the invitation message arrives when you gain the status.
- My subscription ended, why did the room disappear? Access follows your current plan. It reopens by itself when you are back on the plan; you do not need to rejoin.
- Why does the chat badge show dozens of unread messages right after I joined? It no longer does (fixed in 1.176.0). Before that, a room you had joined but never opened counted its whole history as unread. Only messages posted after your join now count; if you leave and come back, the badge starts again from the day you returned.
- Can I read the Pro community on my phone? Yes: open the Community screen of the mobile app, the rooms are pinned at the top. Joining on one device is joining on both.
- I clicked a reaction to see who reacted and it added mine instead. Fixed: a click on a chip now opens the list of reactors, and reacting yourself goes through Add reaction or the toggle inside that list.
