What it does
Tells you what one session really costs of your weekly limit, measured on real subscriptions, and warns when a provider quietly changes that balance. A provider shows two gauges for the same account: the session (the 5-hour window) and the week. When you work, both climb together. AgentsRoom watches how far the weekly gauge moves while the session gauge moves, over whole session windows, and turns it into plain numbers: "on Claude Max 20x, one full session = 9.4% of the week, about 10 sessions a week". The community index compares the last 30 days with the 3 months before: when the same session suddenly weighs much more in the week (20% or more), the index flags it. No token counts: percentages of your own gauges.
Works for every provider that publishes both a session and a weekly gauge: Claude, Codex, Kimi, OpenCode Go and Antigravity. Grok and Cursor publish only a weekly or monthly gauge, so they have no session ratio.
Where to find it
- Footer usage badge > Usage panel: a scale icon next to the session bar of an account, when the index has a number for its plan. Hover it for the community figure, the trend against the previous 3 months and your own figure; click it to open the Robin Hood window.
- Usage panel, right column, Optimize your usage section: the Robin Hood card ("Which plan gives you the most sessions per week, measured by the community.", Compare plans) opens the Robin Hood window: your accounts, the full community index with weekly history, and any detected change. Since 2026-09-25 it replaces the small scale icon that used to sit in the panel header.
- Footer usage badge > Usage panel, under the Current session bar, right side: what the running session has cost of the weekly limit so far ("4.2% of the week"), or what the last one cost when no session is running. Hover it for the detail (each weekly gauge, from which level to which, what a full session would cost at this pace) and the exact cost of the previous sessions. This is the measured history behind the Robin Hood average (since 2026-10-02).
- Mobile: Activity > Usage, a line under the session bar and a Robin Hood screen.
- Web: agentsroom.dev/usage-limits-tracker (Resources menu).
How to use it
- Nothing to set up: as soon as the Usage panel reads a session gauge and a weekly gauge for an account, AgentsRoom follows them in the background (the panel does not have to be open).
- When a session window ends, it becomes one measurement: points of session consumed and points of week consumed over the same readings. Windows under 5 session points are ignored (rounding noise). A weekly reset or a gauge going backwards closes the measurement early at its last valid reading.
- Hover the scale icon on a session bar to compare the community figure for your plan with your own figure over the last 30 days.
- Click Compare plans on the Robin Hood card of Optimize your usage to open the Robin Hood window to see every provider and plan of the index, the weekly history and any detected change. Open the full index leads to the public page.
Settings
No setting of its own. Uploading follows Share usage data (Settings > Privacy): on, your measured windows join the index anonymously; off, nothing is sent and your personal figure keeps working on this machine only.
Agent tools (MCP)
No dedicated tool. usage_overview reads the gauges the measurements come from.
Providers
Every provider that publishes both a session gauge and a weekly gauge: Claude (session with the all-models week, and the per-model week such as Fable), Codex (5-hour and weekly windows of each limit group), Kimi (5-hour and 7-day), OpenCode Go and the Z.AI Coding Plan (5-hour and weekly), Antigravity (each model pool paired with its own weekly window). Grok and Cursor only publish a weekly or monthly gauge: no session ratio, nothing shown. The plan tier comes from the source when it publishes one (Claude Pro / Max 5x / Max 20x, Codex Plus / Pro / Team...); a plan the source does not publish is kept apart, never mixed with a known plan.
Mobile
Activity > Usage shows the same figure under the session bar of an account (computed by the desktop), and a Robin Hood button opens a dedicated screen with the community index, read from the public index. The phone measures nothing itself: its gauges come from the desktop.
Limits
- The ratio is not an absolute limit: a session that weighs more in the week can mean a smaller week or a bigger session. The index says the balance moved.
- A number is published only once at least 3 distinct accounts are behind it; before that the plan shows "not enough accounts yet".
- A change is flagged at 20% or more between the last 30 days and the 3 months before, when both sides have enough accounts.
- The desktop app has to run for windows to be measured. Since 2026-09-29 every signed-in Codex account is read from the Codex usage API every 10 minutes; before, a Codex quota was only the snapshot a session wrote, so an account no agent ran on produced no measurement.
- Codex and Kimi are measured also when AgentsRoom falls back to reading their gauges through the terminal (
/status,/usage); since 2026-09-25 those readings pair up reliably (Codex weekly reset dates, Kimi resets given to the hour, Kimi percentages kept to two decimals so small sessions are not lost in rounding). - A Codex account read from the usage API is identified by its email, like Claude (since 2026-09-29). When only a session snapshot is available it is identified per machine, so the same Codex subscription on two machines then counts as two accounts in the index.
- Same behaviour on macOS, Windows and Linux.
Common questions
- Why percentages and not tokens? Subscription limits are published as percentages of two gauges; token counts do not say how much of your week is left.
- Two machines on the same subscription? Both measure the same window; the index keeps one measurement, the one that saw more of the session. Codex is the exception: its accounts have no email, so each machine counts as its own account.
- What is sent? Provider, plan tier, which weekly gauge, the two deltas, the window time and a salted hash of the account. Never an email, a prompt, a project or a token.
- Where is the Robin Hood button? In the Usage panel, right column, at the end of Optimize your usage: the Robin Hood card with Compare plans. The hover figure is still on the scale icon of each session bar.
- How much of my week did this session use? Under the Current session bar of the Usage panel: the weekly gauge now minus its level when the session began, for every provider that publishes a session and a weekly gauge. Hover it for the previous sessions (35 days, synced across your signed-in machines and shown on the phone). A figure starting with "≥" means the session had started before AgentsRoom was following it: what was used before is not counted.
- Can I see my own data? Your figure is in the tooltip and in the Robin Hood window. Deleting your AgentsRoom account deletes the measurements linked to it.
