AgentsRoom Git Worktrees: two AI coding agents in one repo, each in its own copy

A real session, filmed in the app: a first AI coding agent adds opening hours to a shop page in the main folder. The next job, a dark theme, goes to a task with one box ticked, code in a separated worktree. AgentsRoom prepares a separate copy of the project (dependencies installed, .env file copied), a second agent starts in it on its own branch and commits its work there. The Worktree selector of the Changes tab shows each copy apart, and marking the task Done merges its branch into the project.

Two AI agents in one repo, without stepping on each other. This is AgentsRoom, the desktop app where your AI coding agents work side by side. A first agent adds opening hours to a shop page.

A second agent in the same folder could edit the same files, and the two jobs would get mixed up. So I give the next job, a dark theme for the page, to a task on the board. In its options, one box: code in a separated worktree.

The branch name fills itself in, and it merges back when the task is done. I start the task. AgentsRoom prepares a separate copy of the project: it installs the dependencies and copies the .env file.

Then a second agent starts inside that copy, on its own branch. It writes the dark theme and commits it on that branch, while the footer stays in the main folder. In the Changes tab, the Worktree selector shows each copy apart.

Main holds only the footer. And the second copy holds the dark theme, already committed on its branch. When the work is done, one click on Done merges its branch into the project.

Two agents, one repo, and neither touched the other's files. Git Worktrees are in AgentsRoom. The link is in the description.
