## What it does

An agent, most often the personal assistant, can start one of your agent teams with the brief already written, in its own project or in another project open on this desktop. You no longer copy the brief from the assistant into the Teams panel: you say "give this to the Dev and QA team of project X", the agent finds the team and asks you to approve the run. When the run stops where the agent may have to act (waiting at its End, blocked, waiting for you, done, cancelled), the agent is told, even when it lives in another project.

## Where to find it

There is nothing to open: ask the assistant (or any agent) in plain words. The approval appears in that agent's pane (the assistant's panel for the assistant) and on the phone, as a card **Start a team run?** with the team, its number of steps, the project and the brief.

## How to use it

1. Tell the agent which team should do what, and in which project.
2. Read the card: team, project, brief. Click **Start run**, or **Decline** (nothing starts, and the agent does not retry).
3. Follow the run like any other team run (sidebar, Teams panel, phone). The agent that asked gets a mail when the run stops and can check the work, then close it.

With no answer within 2 minutes, nothing is started.

## Settings

- `askBeforeAgentSpawn` (global, Settings > Agent behavior, "Ask before an agent creates an agent"; project override; per-agent exemption): the same question covers a team run started by an agent. The boxes **Stop asking for this agent** and **Stop asking for this project** on the card write it. Off: the run starts without a card.
- For the assistant: "Can launch agents without confirmation" (Settings > Assistant) also skips the card.

## Agent tools (MCP)

- `teams_list({ project? })`, `teams_get({ project? })`: find the team, in this project or another project of the account.
- `teams_run({ team, prompt, project?, handoffMode? })`: start the run; `prompt` is the first step's message. Answers with the run id.
- `team_finalize_run`, `team_cancel_run`: close the run once it stopped.

## Providers

All providers: the tool is part of AgentsRoom-MCP, and every step runs on its own team settings.

## Mobile

The approval card shows on the phone in the agent's screen, same words and same boxes. The assistant reached from the phone uses the same tool.

## Limits

- The target project must be open in the desktop on this machine (a run needs its checkout).
- From another project, client-folder teams are not offered: only that project's teams and your account-wide teams.
- Your quota rules apply to the first step: a blocked launch starts nothing and you get the usual notification.

## Common questions

- **Can the assistant send a task to a team without me copy-pasting?** Yes, since 2026-10-20: ask it, then approve the card.
- **I turned off "Ask before an agent creates an agent" and a team started without asking.** Expected: one setting covers both. Turn it back on to see the card again.
