## What it does

An agent advisor for the moment you do not know which agent to use. Describe the task in plain language ("write a launch blog post", "audit the login flow", "build prompts for image generation") and AgentsRoom answers with the best-suited agent, a one-line reason written in your interface language, and up to two alternatives. Candidates come from your whole roster: free agents already in your room (flagged **In your room**), then the 14 built-in roles, the 260+ specialists of The Agency and community agents, including your own custom agents. Ranking is by specialty fit first; presence in the room only breaks ties. One click adds the agent, opens its terminal and pre-fills your task in the composer as a draft, never auto-sent.

## Where to find it

- In a room, the sparkle icon at the right of the agent search field (tooltip **Help me choose an agent**).
- The **Get a suggestion** pill that appears under the catalogue suggestions when your agent search finds nothing.
- The bubble is titled **Agent advisor** ("Finds the right agent for your task") and opens pre-filled with your current search.

## How to use it

1. Click the sparkle. The advisor asks "What do you want to do?"; type the task and press Enter (**Suggest an agent**).
2. Read the recommended agent card (avatar, reason, **In your room** badge when applicable) and the "Also a good fit" alternatives.
3. Click **Assign the task** (agent already in the room) or **Add and assign the task** (agent added with its full persona). The terminal opens with your task waiting in the composer; review it and send.
4. Vote "This answer works for me" / "does not work for me" if you want to help tune the advisor.

## Settings

None. Past the monthly allowance, your own OpenAI API key (Settings > Account, "Your OpenAI API key") keeps suggestions running on your key.

## Agent tools (MCP)

None. The advisor is a user-facing helper; agents that need a colleague use `agents_spawn` with an explicit role.

## Providers

All providers, no difference: the suggestion targets an agent, not a model. The chosen agent runs on whichever CLI it is configured for.

## Mobile

Present. The **Agent advisor** sheet on the phone takes the same task description and returns the same recommendation; the agent is added to the room through the desktop.

## Limits

- Monthly allowance: 5 suggestions on Free, 30 on Plus, unlimited on Pro. One free try without an account. An OpenAI incident does not consume your allowance.
- The task text and the candidate list are sent to AgentsRoom's servers to compute the recommendation (the advisor does not spend your CLI quota).
- The advisor never sends the task to the agent by itself; you always review the draft first.

## Common questions

- **Does it suggest agents I already have?** Yes, and prefers them when they genuinely fit. If your best match is busy or missing, it suggests the role or expert to add instead.
- **Which language can I write in?** Any. The reason comes back in your interface language.
- **Can it suggest my own custom agents?** Yes: custom agents you created and community agents you installed are part of the candidates.
- **I hit the limit, what now?** Upgrade, wait for next month, or add your own OpenAI key in Settings > Account.
- **What is the difference with AI Suggestion?** AI Suggestion (the intent screen) picks the model, the session name and, when no agent is fixed, the agent, before the session opens. Agent Suggestions only answers "who should do this".
